How long does it take to get my accident report?

Is this really free?

Yes. There is no cost to you — ever. We are paid by the personal injury attorneys and medical providers in our network who pay a small fee for access to qualified leads. You are under no obligation to use any attorney we recommend.

Do I have to hire an attorney?

Absolutely not. Once you receive your accident report, you can use it however you want. Many victims simply use it to file their own insurance claim. The attorney match is optional.

What if I already have an attorney?

That is perfectly fine. We will still retrieve your report and deliver it to you. You can share it with your existing attorney or use it for your own records.

Is my information safe?

Yes. We encrypt all data at rest and in transit. We only share your information with attorneys in our network after you consent — never before. Your information is never sold or shared with third parties.

How do you verify I am the person on the accident report?

We send a one-time 6-digit verification code via SMS to the phone number you provided. You enter the code on our website, and we verify it matches the phone number on the official accident report. This protects both you and any attorney referral.

What information do I need to provide?

Just basic information: your name, phone, email, date of accident, city where it happened, and your ZIP code. That is it. We do not need your insurance information, license number, or case details — the police report has all that.

What is TCPA consent?

Accepted Answer

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act requires us to get your explicit, recorded consent before sending you SMS messages — even the one-time verification code. The third checkbox on our form is your TCPA consent. You can text STOP at any time to revoke it.

Can I use this if I was not at fault?

Yes. The service works regardless of who was at fault. We help any driver or passenger who was involved in the accident.

What if the accident happened outside Portland?

Accepted Answer

Currently we serve Clark County (Las Vegas metro) and the Portland metro area only. If your accident was outside these areas, we will not be able to help — but feel free to check back as we expand to more markets.

Can I request deletion of my data?

Yes. Under CCPA (California residents) and our general Privacy Policy, you can request deletion at any time. Email legal@portlandaccidentservices.com with your name and the email you signed up with. We delete within 30 days of request.

Do I receive an email when my report is ready?

Yes. You will receive a secure email with a download link (valid for 24 hours). For privacy reasons, the other parties' personal information is redacted from the report before delivery.

What if my accident has not had a police report filed yet?

Accepted Answer

Police reports are typically filed within 3–5 business days of an accident in Nevada and Oregon. If the report is not yet available, we will notify you and retry automatically. You do not pay anything and there is no additional action on your part.

Do you handle hit-and-run accidents?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as a police report was filed. In fact, hit-and-run situations are often when victims benefit most from having their official report ready for an attorney.

Is this a law firm?

Accepted Answer

No. Portland Accident Services is not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. We retrieve your accident report and (with your consent) introduce you to personal injury attorneys in our network. The attorney you choose to work with is your decision.

What if I change my mind about the attorney referral?

You can opt out at any time. Text STOP to stop all SMS. Reply to any email or email our help address to opt out. No hard feelings, no retention calls.
